Biography

With a strong background in biology, marine ecology, microbiology and biotechnology, I am particularly interested in marine bacterial communities, their ecological and functional role in marine environments and their biotechnological potential. I am currently doing my PhD and it will involve the study of the diversity and ecology of marine ultramicrobacteria across distant and different marine environments with the aim to explore and unveil more about this intringuing tiny organisms, their morphology, ecology and potential biotechnological applications.
