Research Interests

Deeply curious about extremophile microorganisms, spent most part of my career studying the physiology of acidophilic bacteria and plant-growth-promoting bacteria occurring in extreme environments. My current research interest focuses on the characterization of ultramicrobacteria (UMB) from the Red Sea in terms of morphology and diversity in terms of taxonomy and function.
